Russia can raise monopolies’ prices in 2017–19, 2018–20 equally

KRASNOYARSK, Apr 21 (PRIME) -- The Russian Economic Development Ministry has suggested raising 2018–2020 prices of natural monopolies at approximately the same pace in the 2017–2019, Deputy Minister Nikolai Podguzov said on the sidelines of a forum on Friday.

“The tariffs have been set for 2017. A proposal has been made in the framework of a 2017–2019 forecast for three years. The process of forecasting for 2018–2020 has begun; we have made our tariff proposals there as well,” Podguzov said.

The gas tariff will rise a bit slower than inflation, tariffs of Russian Railways, water and heating will grow close to inflation, which is seen at 4%. Electric power tariffs will rise 3% for industries and 5% for households.
